Hold on to Your Hat – It’s Christmas! is a Christmas musical for preschool through elementary age children.  This program has a narrated script which includes the Luke 2 text plus 9 kid-friendly Christmas songs.

Hold on to Your Hat – It’s Christmas!  The angels are in charge of delivering boxes of hats to everyone in the Christmas story and the hats have arrived just in time!  Each hat box includes a note:  “Hold on to your hat, and remember that God is always with you.”
. . . Mary and Joseph receive their hats in a barn in Bethlehem and are reminded that God will be with them as a new family.
. . . The shepherds receive practical hats for their work in the fields and are reminded that God is always with them – which is quite a promise, because the sheep really keep them moving!
. . . The wisemen know that God has been with them in their search to find the savior and they trust that God will continue to be with them as they finish their journey.  Everyone will be surprised by what the wisemen do with their hats!

1)  9 children’s Christmas songs which include portions of 5 Christmas carols . . . and at least one song that your preschoolers can sing,
2)  free instructions for including steps, snaps, claps, whistling, instrumental parts, motions and sign language,
3)  piano score with guitar chords,
4)  vocal MP3s so you can create your own playlist or CD OR a listening CD (you get to choose digital or hard copy),
5)  a script with the Luke 2 text that includes reader and narrator parts and 12+ non-speaking costumed character parts (and the option to expand the parts to include more children or combine the parts for fewer children), prop list and staging.

If you already have a script and you prefer to purchase individual songs from Cathy’s Christmas musicals, you have the following options:
1.   Purchase sheet music.  Sheet music includes piano score, guitar chords and motions.  Sheet music can be e-mailed (PDF format) OR printed and mailed.
2.   Purchase an MP3 to go along with your sheet music.  MP3s include two tracks for each song:  a vocal track and a keyboard-only accompaniment track with no vocals.  MP3’s are e-mailed.
