God made everything we hear; (place hands behind ears and look from left to right)
A quiet, little whisper, (place “sh” pointer finger in front of mouth)

Soft kittens, (pretend to pet a kitten) frozen ice cubes, (hug self and shiver)
Even worms, they’re just too much!  (push both hands away from body and shake head “no”)

#10:  If I hadn’t looked behind me, I’m not sure I would have known that I had taken any steps at all!
#8:  Progress isn’t just about how many steps you take or how far you get.  It’s about what you learn as you go.  Remember, God is with you every step of the way.

#8:  (nods head “yes”)  Even when it seems like you are going backwards!

Kids on the Grow script excerpt:
(for preschool children)
(children enter wearing fancy hats & stand center stage)
Narrator:   Fancy hats remind us of God’s creativity in nature.  It’s those moments that make us say, “Wow . . . look at that!”  It might be a bright red flower, or a bug with lots and lots of legs, or a sunrise that makes us want to get out of bed in the morning.
(children with fancy hats exit; children with bandanas enter & stand center stage single file behind each other with bandanas on arm, around neck, on top of head, around leg and over nose like a bandit)

We like hats that let us express ourselves in our own special way.  Bandanas remind us that we may all be God’s children, but we get to use the gifts God gives us in a whole bunch of different ways.
(first child models bandana then exits, second child models bandana then exits, etc. until all children have exited; child enters wearing hard hat & stands center stage)

God doesn’t take the hard stuff away, but God promises to be with us through all the hard stuff.
(child with hard hat & child who knocked on hard hat exit; children with baseball hats enter carrying their hats)

Baseball hats remind us that God goes before us,
(put baseball hat on with brim toward front)
God comes behind us,
(turn baseball hat so the brim is in the back)
and God will always walk beside us.
(turn baseball hat so the brim is on one side; children with baseball hats exit)

#7: How about putting it to music?
#8: Yeah, make a song out of it!
#6: Ephesians 6?
#8: Sure. . . it’s about getting dressed, isn’t it?
#6: Sort of, but. . .
#7: Listen. . . you start. . .
#6: (clears throat and sings some badly out-of-tune warm-up notes)  La – la – la – la – la.

We Did It script excerpt:
(for preschool children)
These are a few lines from the “Be Dressed & Ready for Service” Fashion Show
(Fashion Show Music begins)
Reader:  Welcome to our servant’s fashion show which is based on the Bible verse from Luke 12:35, “Be dressed, ready for service.”  Today, you are going to see some of this season’s newest fashions for being a servant.  Our models are all dressed up and excited to serve God by serving others.  Let’s get started.
(2 children enter stage right with dish towels tied under their chins like kerchiefs.  Children walk on tape lines and stand on “X” as the reader reads)
Our first models know how to keep cool on a hot summer day.  These headpieces double as dishtowels.  Our models will be there to dry the dishes as soon as everyone is done eating and the dishes are washed!  Every family will want to get their hands on a few of these very practical headpieces.
(Children with dish towel kerchiefs turn and walk back on tape lines and then exit stage left)

(2 children enter stage right with a book bag between them – one child holding one handle and the other child holding the other handle.  Children walk on tape lines and stand on “X” as the reader reads.)
Here comes the newest book bag to hit the store shelves and our next models carry it well.  You can take it anywhere and that means you can share your favorite books with others.  This spacious book bag also includes room for markers, crayons, and a juice box.  This is a fashion must for every servant who loves to share!
(Children with book bag turn and walk back on tape lines and then exit stage left)

(2 children enter stage right with pom-poms.  Children walk on tape lines and stand on “X” as the reader reads.)
We all know that being a servant may be as simple as sharing a smile or cheering someone on.  These adorable pom-poms are available in a number of awesome colors.
(to models)  Show them what they look like when you shake them!  (children shake pom-poms over their heads)  What a great way to cheer someone on.  These pom-poms are lightweight and easy to pack so you can take them anywhere.
(children with pom-poms turn and walk back on tape lines and then exit stage left)

Professor:  You are good teachers.
#1:  We do O.K. but we’re counting on learning a bunch of new things from you.
Professor:  You know the best teachers hand out hard assignments.
#2:  We can handle it.
Professor:  And a good teacher realizes that the same approach doesn’t work for everyone.

Professor:  Did you have another question?
#6:  How much do you know about fishing for people?
Professor:  Not a lot. I’m still learning. What do you need to know?
