A Roving Reporter Gets the Scoop on Prayer is a short skit that lets your children act and sing as they celebrate that any place can be a place of prayer.

Round up a couple of puppets, a few children who are willing to do a little acting and memorize a few lines, and a roving reporter who is getting the scoop on prayer in your area.  That’s all you need to remind your audience that any place can be a place of prayer.

Theme:  Any place can be a place of prayer because God will be there 
Characters:  Reporter, 4 child actors and 3 puppets and the option to expand the parts to include more children or combine the parts for fewer children.

Reporter:  One more interview.  Hey, I wonder if I can catch up to that jogger?
(runs after Person #4 and both continue to jog in place during the interview)
Reporter: (Your name), your Roving Reporter asking people in the area if they take time to pray.
Person #4:  Sure do . . . I’ve been praying for the past hour.
Reporter:  When you’re jogging?! 
Person #4:  Sure.  Every time I see a red light or a stop sign, I pray for someone in my family.
Reporter:  Good plan.
Person #4:  And you know, just being outside gives me a chance to thank God for sunshine, the beautiful flowers, cute little dogs out for walks and lots of things!
Reporter:  Wow, thanks a lot.  (stops jogging and stands panting)  I’ll let you go.
(Person #4 exits)
Reporter: (to audience) That about wraps it up for me in (your town).  We came to you live to prove that any place can be a place of prayer and there are people in the area who are praying today, and every day.  Until next time . . . This is (your name), your Roving Reporter signing off and reminding you to use those red lights and stop signs to get a little praying done!  (exits)
